We are pleased to announce that University Consortium Principal Investigator, Dr. Jens Blotevogel, was awarded the 2019 DEG Research Award by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) for contributions and achievements in the field of environmental and geoenvironmental research.

The DEG awards committee noted that, “Regarding the aspects of [Dr. Jens Blotevogel’s] research work, the DEG Leadership reviewed the nomination and judged that [his] contribution regarding Managing Hydraulic Fracturing fluid additives primarily biocides was noteworthy, advanced environmental geoscience knowledge, and was deserving of recognition by the AAPG’s DEG.”
